goodbye 2014!

December 29|  Article By :

Hello all!

This year has been an exciting and eventful year for real estate in general and for our company, Perez & DuBois Real Estate.

The future of north Palm Beach County is expanding with new construction in the form of commercial and residential developments that are planned for Palm Beach Gardens, Village of North Palm Beach and Town of Jupiter in the coming months and years.

Harbourside Place opened in October 2014 in beautiful Jupiter, Florida. The largest occupant of this gorgeous waterfront development is the Wyndham Hotel. The Wyndham Hotel boasts more than 15,000 square feet of event and meeting space, three restaurants, a 5,000 square foot Ballroom, the scenic Mangrove Deck, 179 gorgeous guest rooms and first class amenities and services. The remainder of the development includes restaurants, retail shops and a marina with public and private slips.

The Panama Hattie’s/Rum Bar site in Palm Beach Gardens closed in August 2014 to make way for a new multi-use development. The former proposed site plan called for about 80 one to two bedroom condos, a 146-room hotel, restaurants, office space, retail shops and approximately 30 boat slips all constructed along the Intracoastal Waterway. However, this planned was shelved and the new proposed development entails 95-unit luxury condominium and townhome residences. According to an article published by the Palm Beach Post on October 13, 2014, the reason for the change was “market timing.”

Kolter Homes is planning two new residential communities in the Village of North Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens. The Water Club condominium in North Palm Beach will offer breathtaking waterfront views. This condo development will consist of two 22-story twin towers and 20 waterfront villas including access to a 5,000-square-foot club, spa, lap pool, fitness center and marina. The second residential development by Kolter, is called Gardenia Isles. Situated on the west side of Military Trail between Northlake Boulevard and PGA Boulevard, Gardenia Isles will be a small, gated community of just 21 residences that offers country club living without the country club fees. Other residential developers such as Toll Brothers and DiVosta Homes are also making their presence known as well in the north end with other beautiful developments.

The best part of this year has been that Perez & DuBois Real Estate moved into the South End neighborhood of West Palm Beach, a hidden oasis in the historic areas of this city. There is an exclusivity and allure to the South End that leaves everyone wanting to live here! This traditional neighborhood has a variety of architecturally diverse homes and is within walking distance to the Intracoastal Waterway as well as a bridge away from the renown Mar-a-Lago. The South End is also sought out because of its top rated elementary school, South Olive Elementary School and its close proximity to antique shops galore.  These are just a few of the many reasons people are attracted to live in this select and prestigious neighborhood and we are so thrilled to be helping sellers and buyers in this area.

As our business continues to grow, we are so grateful for those of you who have put your trust in us from the beginning.  It is so rewarding to work in the field of real estate helping people buy and sell homes.  Each person or family has a unique and specific need and we are so honored to be a part of each life we touch.  We truly value all the relationships we have made and as we go into 2015 we are wishing every one of our customers, friends and family a prosperous and blessed 2015!

Cheers,

Jo & Jason

Happy New Year!

We are off to a running start here at Perez & DuBois in 2014.  As we make plans for this New Year, Jason and I took a moment to reflect on the year behind us, and we are thankful.  During 2013, we had our first baby, Eva Jolie DuBois and also officially launched our boutique real estate business, Perez & DuBois Real Estate.  We birthed a baby and a business, one week apart!  We could not have done it without YOU.  Our friends, family and those of you who were among our first customers.  We want to say THANK YOU for your business.  Thank you for trusting us with your real estate investments, home purchases and/or the sale of your home. We are truly grateful for the trust and the referrals.  While it may have seemed like a lot at one time to start a family and a business , my and Jason’s personal way of making relationships is a natural reason to start our company.  We both know that life is about faith and calculated risk, and when it is time, it is time. And it was time!  We are so grateful to be able to match up our love for people and relationships with our vocation.  One of the many things we have enjoyed and is also a core component of our business philosophy is partnering with other entrepreneurs and business leaders in our community to help build and support the many philanthropic efforts and projects throughout Palm Beach County that help children and people in need.  Service and giving back is truly a part of who we are.  We hope to do business and serve alongside of YOU in 2014.  Let’s make the year ahead a fruitful one together.

Keep in touch!

Jo and Jason

Holiday Happenings in the Palm Beaches

December 10|  Article By :   |

Holiday Happenings in the Palm BeachesThe classic sights and sounds of Christmas are finding their way to Southeast Florida. Perez DuBois Real Estate wants to share some of the area’s fun events of the holiday season. Grab your family and friends and enjoy some of what The Palm Beaches offers.

West Palm Beach Waterfront Commons has plenty to enjoy this December. Here are a few highlights:

Any night between December 5 -31st, go down to the Waterfront Commons in West Palm Beach to see Sandi, the 600-ton tree made out of sand. To enjoy her special light show, just be around on the hour and half hour between 7:30 and 9:30 pm.

Then on one special night, add some family fun because it’s “Cinema by the Sand.” Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy this free event on Friday, December 13, at 7pm. The Smurfs Christmas Special kicks off the double-feature and then features The Polar Express at 8. Sandi will strut her stuff in between.

On Sunday, December 15, make your way to Palm Beach State College for a pops concert. The Indian River Pops Orchestra will be joined by the Robert Sharon Chorale, a children’s choir and bell ringers at the Eissey Campus Theater. The family event features Christmas and Chanukah favorites along with a carol sing-along.

Repeat the Sounding Joy

Here are a few repeating events that you can choose to enjoy. What’s this about snow in Florida? It’s true and if you want to see it, head over to City Place in West Palm Beach. You can shop, have dinner, see a movie and, of course, watch it snow–nightly until December 31st. Click here for more information and snow times.

Santa loves animals. So he’s hanging out at the Palm Beach Zoo and wants to have breakfast with your whole family. Yummy! Click here for information.

What’s Christmas without a few festive trees? The Ann Norton Sculpture Garden on Palm Beach is hosting the 7th Annual Festival of Trees from now until December 14th. Attendees can enjoy a bevy of trees in the garden. Each is decorated by the inspirational theme, “The Wonder of Words,” and the event includes a spectacular light and music show. Click for more information.

No matter how you spend the time, know that we are wishing you and yours a wonderful celebration as we enter into 2014. We are looking forward many good things in the coming year, for everyone in the communities we serve.

Experience Dolcevita at Singer Island

November 29|  Article By :

Dolce Vita–the Sweet Life–exists not only in Italy but right around the corner on Singer Island, Florida. Here, la dolce vita is defined by private luxury beach-front living with the flavorings of your personal style.

Singer Island, just north of Palm Beach Gardens, was named for Paris Singer, a descendent of the sewing machine magnate. Working alongside renowned architect Addison Mizner, Singer developed the island featuring Spanish architecture, picturesque streets and exclusive shopping.

The community of Dolcevita holds 34 residential condos featuring two- or three-bedrooms, and range from nearly 2,000 square feet to just over 4,000. Each includes lavish kitchen finishes with quartz countertops and Viking stainless steel appliances. Every unit holds an expansive outdoor terrace. Floor to ceiling impact glass welcomes buckets of natural light, reveals the beautiful views and offers year-round storm safety.

Indoor amenities include world-class fitness and business centers, and lounge/bar. While outside residents enjoy a private, pristine beach, ocean-front pool with private cabanas, poolside grill and fire pit, and a secured parking garage.

When ready to venture out of the neighborhood, within minutes, you’ll find delightful restaurants, expansive marinas, gorgeous parks and superb shopping.

Just 2 minutes away, you can dine at the Sailfish Marina restaurant. After enjoying a slice of key lime pie and taking in their charming gift shop, make your way down the road to John D. MacArthur State Park for time interacting with the beauty of South Florida’s flora and fauna in its tropical hammock and mangrove forest.

Have your sights set on some sophistication? Drive just 10 minutes to the luxury shopping venue, the Gardens Mall , which features over 160 shops in 1.4 million square feet of retail space. Then pop over to Downtown at the Gardens for a movie and elegant dinner.

Dolcevita features the best of private ocean-front living and access to the finer things of life: restaurants, entertainment and shopping. So, if you are ready to experience “the sweet life,” contact Perez DuBois Real Estate to find out more about Dolcevita on Singer Island.
